PBS: The Crowd & The Cloud

Creation and direction of digital and social media for The Crowd & The Cloud, a 4-part PBS series on the intersection of citizen science and mobile tech. Scheduled to air in March 2017, we proposed that the series use its focus on digital/mobile to create a first in active content. Rather than wait for broadcast, we launched the series online in April 2016, using a wealth of social media platforms to create monthly live interactive experiences, editorial features, discussions, video streams and science projects. When the series airs, site and social will serve as a 2nd screen app for live after show content. Launch content partners included the EPA, American Lung Association, National Science Foundation, NOAA, SciStarter, Discover Magazine, Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Science in the Wild.
