United Nations: Forests for People

Multimedia campaign for the UN Forum on Forests. The aim was to create a visual portrait of our relationships to the forest by inviting young artists from all 183 UN countries to enter a global short film and photography contest. For the call to entry, leading nature filmmakers worldwide were recruited to appear in a launch film and interview-led viral content, while acting as ambassadors via social media and jury participation. The initiative was premiered at the Rio +20 conference, and ended with an awards ceremony before the world press at a major UN conference in Istanbul. All content was available on the UN website, YouTube channel, Facebook and Twitter feeds, and through viral and PR messaging from our participating filmmakers.
